5 years of cat ownership, cat vomiting solution list, money-saving tips

There are many reasons why cats vomit. It may be normal to vomit hair, but it may also be a sign of illness. Cat owners often get used to it and mistakenly think that cats are spitting hair daily, thinking that it will be all right after spitting. In fact, this kind of inertial thinking is very dangerous, a careless, and it is likely to delay the best treatment time. The tuition may be over a thousand. So, what should we do if the cat vomits abnormally?

A. Make a preliminary judgment (see a doctor or take care at home)

  1. Identify the color and shape of vomit
  2. Observe the cat’s mental state

Normal: The cat is in good spirits, able to eat and sleep, and willing to interact with people.

Hit: listless, hiding in the corner, not eating or drinking

  1. Record the frequency of vomiting (the more frequent, the greater the likelihood of dehydration)
  2. Check for dehydration

Pinch the skin on the back of the cat’s neck, rebound slowly, or open the cat’s mouth, abnormal white gums may be dehydrated. The probability of dehydration may have been dehydrated, and it is recommended to send directly to the hospital, otherwise it may induce other problems.

B. For further processing

  1. Obvious hairball in vomit

Reason: The probability is to spit hairballs.

Treatment: No other abnormalities and use probiotics and hairball solution.

  1. Vomiting incompletely digested cat food

Reason: The probability is to eat too much too fast, indigestion, cat food intolerance, etc.

Handle: No other abnormalities, feed the cat fewer meals and more frequently, regular probiotic conditioning.

Prolonged vomiting: To prevent the development of gastroenteritis, feed Puainta antiemetics and probiotics.

  1. Retching, yellow water spitting, white water spitting

Cause: Most of them are caused by gastroenteritis. Generally, enteritis usually causes vomiting accompanied by diarrhea, while gastritis is mostly manifested as retching and vomiting.

Treatment: Stop feeding without stopping water, feed medicine

The basic formula is antiemetic (Puainta antiemetic) + stomach protection (omeprazole) + anti-inflammatory (amoxicillin) + conditioning (probiotics)

I use Puainta antiemetic to stop vomiting in cats, which can inhibit gastric acid, stop vomiting and relieve pain. 6-10 kg/half tablet is OK, such as vomiting yellow water, retching, vomiting white foam, vomiting gastric juice, and other conditions that can be solved. As for omeprazole and amoxicillin, they should be fed according to the weight of the cat, rather less than more, and probiotics should be fed more than 1 hour apart from amoxicillin.

Observation:

The cat has improved and does not vomit, give some liquid food such as cat strips appropriately, and then slowly return to normal diet (pay attention step by step, avoid the cat’s digestive system has not recovered, gastroenteritis repeated).

If the cat does not improve, it needs to be taken to the hospital to rule out factors such as hairball disease and foreign bodies in the intestinal tract. If so, it may need surgery to remove them.

  1. Spit powder water

Causes: Esophageal damage, cat plague, etc.

Treatment: Medical advice is recommended.

  1. Spitting parasites

Cause: Cats eat dirty food and have too many parasites in their bodies.

Treatment: It is suggested that even if the cat does not go out, it should be dewormed regularly. In case of this situation, it is recommended to go to the hospital for treatment.
